Our Ska design is a circular logo featuring a dancing rude boy inspired by the UK independent 2-Tone record label. Ska music originated in Jamaica in the late 1950's but it was not until the end of the 1960's when artists like Prince Buster became popular with Mods and later Skinheads. There was a brief but successful revival at the end of the 1970's when groups like The Specials, Madness, The Selector and The Beat promoted racial unity and other social issues during difficult times in the UK. Most of these bands are still touring today to fans of all ages proving that ska music has stood the test of time.
The set comprises a dishwasher and microwave safe 11oz ceramic coffee mug supplied in a presentation box and a matching 10cm square cork backed coaster which can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
